Community Clayworks Studio Policies

Community Clayworks maintains a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment. Disrespectful behavior or violation of safety policies may result in dismissal from class.
Students may only be in the studio during their scheduled class times or approved open studio sessions. Entry outside of these times is not permitted.
The use or possession of drugs, cannabis, nicotine, or alcohol is strictly prohibited in or around the studio. Students must not arrive under the influence.
Students must thoroughly clean their workspace, tools, and equipment after each use at least 20 minutes prior to the end of class or studio time. No sweeping or dry sanding—use wet sponges or mops only.

Physical & Environmental Considerations

Ceramics can be physically demanding and may involve repetitive movements, bending, lifting, and exposure to clay dust or studio odors. By enrolling, I acknowledge that I am able to participate safely or have considered appropriate accommodations.

Cancellation Policy for this Workshop

This workshop is fully funded by a grant from the Sleeping Lady Foundation and is free to you.
Cancellation of your registration may be made at least seven days before the first class date and your spot will be filled on a first come first served basis from our waitlist.
Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to both megan@csccentralwa.org and communityclayworksinfo@gmail.com
Missed classes cannot be made up. Participation in 3 out of 4 classes is required for registration.

Expectations and what to bring

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, avoiding long sleeves or loose clothing, and tie back long hair. Closed-toe shoes are required. Many students bring a small towel or apron. Personal tool kits will be provided, and are property of Community Clayworks. A notebook is optional for jotting down techniques or glaze notes. Please no food or drink inside the studio, water bottles are okay.
